    "Fantastic!!!" on by joshp12

Pros: Color is great. There are so many setting options and it allows you to dial it in perfectly.
    Stylish.
    Speakers are good

Cons: Off angle viewing isnt the best

Summary: Went to the store to get the Samsung A450 in the same size. The LG's deep rich color stole me away. With the other specs of the two tvs pretty much the same I had to go with the better picture. When I got the tv home the picture was pretty good but I never could get it quite right. I checked out cnets review of the 32lg30 and copied their calibration settings. Now it is spectacular. Cnet agreed except for the black levels. Personally I dont see the issue. This is my first round with HD and that could be it but really, I dont see a problem with the black levels. If there is a tv with a better picture and better color out there I would have to see it to believe it. The only negative I have found is at extreme angles it does wash out. But, since I dont plan on watching it from extreme angles, and LCDs have this problem in general, its not a concern with me. Again, the picture and deep rich colors of this set are fantastic!!!

"Very good HDTV at a reasonable price" on by refusewinst

Pros: Vibrant colors, extensive picture controls, more than enough inputs with multiple HDMI, QAM tuner provides free high-def with standard cable, easy to navigate menus, very sleek design

Cons: blacks do tend to have some wash out at extreme angles, but I have not noticed any problem when viewing straight-on. Also, though the advanced menu options are a great feature, each input needs all settings adjusted manually.

Summary: I picked this TV up about 4 months ago, and have had no problems whatsoever. Gaming looks incredible, upconverted DVDs look amazing, and the difference in HDTV programming from SDTV is huge.

As stated above, my only real complaint is that you cannot adjust the advanced picture options for all inputs at once, instead you need to set it up for each input individually. Considering how in-depth these settings are, this can be tedious when you have multiple gaming systems, cable, DVD, etc connected and are forced to set each one up. This is something you only have to really do once though, so I'm not subtracting points for it. I suggest using the CNET suggested settings, or popping in and THX DVD and using their optomizer.

I also do not have a problem with the wash-out at extreme angles since I use this as a bedroom TV. If you are considering this television for a large room you may want to check it out in-store and see if it will be a problem for you.

Also, the built-in QAM tuner provides high-def television from the major networks (ABC, NBC, FOX, etc) through basic cable (via the "CADTV" input). The FCC has made it mandatory for all cable providers to broadcast these in high-def, but they don't want you to know it. They want you to think you need to pay extra for their high-def box (and you do, if you want Comedy Central and other cable channels in high-def).

I am also running my PC through the television and it works great.

I did a lot of shopping around and price-comparison online before purchasing this TV, and I am very happy with the result. Seeing this television side-by-side with similar models that sell for a couple hundred dollars more was all the convincing I needed. The picture, once tweaked, looks just as good or better than some of the higher-end models. I also could not personally see enough of a difference between 720p and 1080p to justify spending the extra money.

All in all this is a spectacular television at a great price. Don't be deterred by the reviewer who said "They break". I've read many reviews on LG's televisions and this model in particular and this does not seem to be a common problem. One disgruntled customer among many was not enough to deter me and it shouldn't deter you.

I would like to add; do NOT buy this TV at the price CNET has listed through Amazon Marketplace right now. I purchased this TV at Best Buy for $699. Whoever is trying to sell it for over $1000 is trying to rip you off. I believe the MSRP is around $800.

"This is an awesome LCD......Buy it." on by Legendary70

Pros: Menu gives you a lot of options for tweaking. NIce modern look. Great picture. 3 HDMI inputs.

Cons: Only 3 HDMI inputs. 45 degree viewing is not great. But I do not plan to watch it from the side.

Summary: I reccommend this LCD to anyone who is looking for a great picture for the right price. The HD channels look freaking awesome. The 360 looks just as great. Blu rays look crisp and beautiful. 5 ms response time. Overall this LCD is a bad azz LCD. Looks just as good as a Sony or Samsung. Buy it.

"Don't buy LG they break!" on by Dolphin09

Pros: They work great when they work

Cons: If they break within the first year you get to mail it to ALABAMA to be fixed with "refurbished" parts. By the way you have to figure out how to box it up to mail it to alabama.

Summary: Don't by LG you will be greatly disappointed.
