"Impressive out of the box - Opinion went south quickly as soon as I plugged it in.."
Pros: BEAUTIFUL - One of the best looking designs out there.
Cons: Qualitiy - craftsmanship
Summary: Purchased from Circuit City this afternoon. Pulled her out of the box and WOW, what an awesome looking LCD television. Loved every aspect of this set. The look and feel simply blew me away. I couldn't wait to hang it and just stare... THEN I PLUGGED HER IN!! First I noticed bad pixels throughout (6 total) a few were lumped together really made this set almost un-watchabe. Second I noticed there is no way to display HD Channel info which was a great feature our other LG had. Oh well, I'll be packaging her back up and heading back to CC. I may try another brand just to be safe. I know with every mass produced item there are bound to be "bad apples". But this is still a pain in my butt non-the-less.
Hope you other LG42" owners have better luck than we did..
