"I love it....."
Pros: Price, picture, astetics
Cons: ummm...none so far
Summary: I needed to buy a new TV for my family room and after buying the 32inch LCD version of this TV last year for my bedroom I decided to get this one for my family room. After doing some serious comparing of the Panasonic and Samsung equvalant I decided on the LG. I love the black level and the color reproduction. Very life-like skin tones and very bright and bold colors. Its only a 720p native display but for the size room I am in 42inch was as big as I could go and not be sitting on top of the TV. At 42inch 720p is more than enough since its pretty hard to see the differance between 720p and 1080p till you get to about 50inch. All in all I am very very pleased with the looks of the tv as well as the picture while its running. I use a 5.1 DTS surround system so I could not even tell you how the sound is since I have never even turnned it past 0 on the volume meter! This baby has two HDMI imputs and two componet imputs as well as the standard S-video and RCA crap...It also has a fiber in for simulated surround if you do not have a tuner...all in all I love this set and its performance is awesome for an entry level set at 720p
