"Avoid it if you care about picture quality"
1.5 starson by SKolokolPros: All features worked
Cons: Very light blacks, not enough brightness.
Slow wireless network connection.Summary: I made some research before buying this TV, and I saw that it's black levels were high. But I assumed that if the blacks are bad, this must be a very bright TV. No, it is not.
By default this TV adjusts to the ambient light level. The TV adjusted it's brightness very low. It was unacceptably dark. I have turned the "Energy Saving" OFF - the cnet reviewer did the same.
This TV does not have blacks - they are grey. It also has a low maximum brightness level. This combination made this TV almost unwatchable to me. When I tuned it to show darker blacks, the hole picture was getting too dark. When I tuned it to be brighter, the blacks turned to greys, the highlights were blown out, and the picture looked terribly washed out.
I've returned this TV. I did not return anything in the last 7 years or so, but I just could not force myself to keep this TV. I bought a high-end TV from a different brand, it is very bright and has very good black levels, and I'm totally happy with it.
I've also noticed that the 2nd TV had much better wireless network connection (the 2nd TV replaced the LG TV so it was mounted exactly in the same place in my house)
