The consumer electronics market understands the need to provide improved and innovative products that will easily integrate with the high-definition home while providing a great viewing experience. LG's 50-inch Plasma Display with Built-in DVR & Single Scan (50PC1DR) meets the needs of a more integrated home entertainment center. Meeting the trend of digital convergence the 50PC1DR goes beyond the ordinary by incorporating a built-in high-definition DVR capable of storing up to 15 hours of digital high-definition programming or 66 hours of standard-definition programming. Consumers can capture broadcasts off the hard disc and watch them at his/her convenience. Furthermore the unit also has an ATSC tuner creating an integrated HDTV. The unit also incorporates single scan technology - improving on the industry standard dual scan this unit uses single scan technology to eliminate blurring effect scanning in one direction as time flows providing a far better picture quality.
