"good enough"
on by nwoparamedicsPros size, ease of use
Cons supplied stand is garbage and barely holds the tv upright, plan on buying a wall mount immediately. colours are no better than a 15 year old sony 36" tube style tv, needs tweaking right away to make things less gaudy but still not up to quality.
Summary for the price, hard to beat. good for games and daily tv use, projector and screen at 800*600 look better and more fun to watch movies with though :(

"Great plasma, great TV"
on by computer10171Pros Love the slim sides around the screen. The stand seems to be good. It has some ports right behind the frame (facing the sides) for easy access to HDMI, which is great for easily plugging in my android tablet. Looks great with blueray movies!
Cons The factory settings are pretty bad, you will need to adjust the colors and all that. A little heavy, but not heavier than usual TV's this size.
Summary Great TV for the price!

"Most can't tell the difference between a 720p & 1080p"
on by joe1369rodPros Fantastic picture for a 720p TV & vibrant colors and unless my eyes deceive me I do not notice the picture blur as I do on my LED 120hz TV with fast moving action such as sports.
Cons Factory presets are horrid. So you'll need some patience when setting the colors, contrast and what not to your liking.
Summary Over all I am extremely happy with the purchase of this TV. Resolution, color vibrancy and user friendly menu are just some of the details I love about this TV. LG gets an A+

"Very easy straight out of the box."
on by winningjimPros Very good picture quality (only 720). Easy to set up and install.Has most features of the much more expensive LED's with similar power consumption!
Cons Heavier than similar 50" LED's so be careful when choosing a wall mount system and make to mount it properly.
Summary Overall a great TV for the price! (I found it for $499.00+tax)

"Excellent picture and value."
on by ptschaferPros The picture is very sharp and vibrant. The contrast is excellent, by far the deepest constrast definition I have had in any of my televisions. Image details looks better than expected for 720p.
Cons Factory color, sharpness, brightness settings were a little off, but were easily tuned after setting it up.
Summary For only $528, it's really hard to knock this television for anything at all. It is worth every penny of that just because the display qaulity is so nice, so I am willing to sacrifice the lack of internet/apps any day for very little $ for a 50-inch television.
