the picture on this is really a standout

Pros: Great screen, on screen guide , the swivel base!

Cons: tinny speakers/no bass/ cable card is jumpy ( not the Tvs fault)

Review: I first went to circuit city and in the wall of tvs this 1080P set stood out. at the time it was $3600 and I said , oh well it Is nice but too high for a 37Incher. then with some looking for features on the web I came across it again for $2000 and no shipping cost and I was hooked!.. the feature set is staggering, putting it in the same realm as the SOny XBRs. the plush 1080 ( which actually works and 3:2 pull down really worked, plus pixel mapping is nearly perfect), the onscreen guide, the cable card interface the sperate video true video aligments, the net command IR system learner, the automatic swivel base. all these thing work really well! ( did I mention the automatic swivel base?) This is a great set with alot of features for the price that not many know about ( go to best Buy and try and find anyone who knows anything about it)...

the two downs sides so far have been the speakers are a bit tinny and dont do the picture justice so you should use this set with an external stereo or 5.1 surround to get the best effect. ( I used a small external subwoffer and it matchs up nicely to the internal speakers in simulated surround sound).. Also I have been having a few times where the cable card "lost its way" and was confused relative to the guide and lost its programming , but I think that is the COx cable cable card and not the TV. the fix was to turn the TV off at the light switch and let it reset. The TV is bright enough in my bedroom to watch comfortably with all the window shades up and sun steaming into the room and the Matte finish reduces glare. I just set the TV to Bright and it looks great. for night viewing , the "natural" setting is more to my liking and the face tones look even better. if you want to get fancy you can get the set calibarated and use the true color adjustment to move each individual color for even better results , but out of the box mine needed virtiually no adjustment and it wasnt "over peaked" like some sets. The onscreen guide does a great job integrating all your sources ( I didnt know I have 7 CBS affiliates..) it with the cable card it maps the over the air HD channels into their lower settings and maps the cable channels to the equivalent cable box locations ( HD in the 700's for instance) the Remote is backlit in a very bright red which is acutally too bright in a dark room. over all this set is just plain great, the features actually do work and the experience is fabulous ( I hope it lasts as long as my previous MIts tube sets (20 years!) did I mention the swivel base ( it is cool and I am easily amused)

Excellent picture & controls.

Pros: Very sharp picture

Cons: More expensive than others

Review: We originally reviewed the leading consumer magazine's opinion of LCD TV's. In the 37" category, the Sharp lc-37d90u (also a 1080P) was rated highest (the Mitsubishi was not part of their survey).

Before buying the Sharp LCD, my wife wanted to see it. It was very difficult to locate in a brick-and-mortar store. When we finally did locate it, the Mitsubishi LT-37132 was right next to it and had a significantly better picture.

Since the picture was so much better on the Mitsubishi, we obtained the remote controls to both televisons and played with the settings -- to see if the Sharp just had the adjustments out of whack. Nope. The Mitsubhishi really was that much better.

We've purchased the Mitsubhishi 37132 and have only viewed DVDs at home, but the quality over our CRT television is astounding.

The only item that I was disgruntled on is that the 37132 comes with a motorized swevel stand. It works just fine, but I would rather have the option of not paying for it (the ability to adjust the angle of the TV by the remote control is of no value to me).

Overall all we are very happy with the Mitsubishi.

Excellent Picture

Pros: Great Picture even with analog channels

Cons: Cost a little more than most comparable sized LCD's

Review: Have had only one day but very impressed. Also have Fuji 42" Plasma HDTV. Analog channels look much better on this set. HD is great. Requires a little adjustment from factory settings so don't get discouraged when you turn on out of the box. Best pic I have seen on any LCD so far.
