Cons: My panel did develop the lines also, but Mitsubishi covered a new panel under an extended warranty they have on all these models that were effected.

Pros: Works great in a bright room -- I have this TV in a room with a wall of west-facing glass. Picture is clear ever in the middle of the afternoon with the sun beatng in.
Swivel base is great too.Cons: Really haven;t had a con. Only issue ever was some slight distortion of lines in pinstripe sutis that would occur. Later found that it was my signal. Chnaged providers and issue was resolved.
Summary: This TV has been perfect for us.

Pros: my first HD so i don't have much to compare
Cons: developed Vertical lines in screen six months old.
Summary: The unit developed two vertical lines top to bottom on either side of the display about 3 inches in from each side. They vary in intensity but have gotten worse. Company was very quick to honor warrantee. Local service guy diagnosed on the phone and said he would order the part and come install when it arrives. Seems like he know exactly what the issue is and had seen it before. I hope they will also extent my warrantee another year if this is a very common and reoccurring problem with the TV. It's a lot of money for a TV that only lasts a year.

Horrible customer service...worst I have ever experienced.Summary: I am on my 2nd Mitsubishi LT-46. First one the panel got 2 vertical lines. After waiting a month for a new panel, every thing was great for about 2 weeks. Yup, 2 more vertical lines. After battleing with Mitsu Customer NON-service for a month they agreed to allow me to get a new TV from the store where I bought this one. They even extended my waranty for a year. One year and 2 days later...LINES! We lived with the lines for about a month and now half the screen is snowy in HD. These TV's stink. They are horrible. I will never buy anything from Mitsubishi for as long as I live. Go look at another brand. PLEASE!
