"Flying under the radar for certain."
Pros: Picture quality, sleek design, friendly remote, deep colors
Cons: Still looking
Summary: Never have written a review but since this was a big $ purchase (mounted, surround sound, tuner, DVD player, etc) and I spent so much time researching I just had to.
Shocked this TV is not reviewed. Would have missed it if not for my local sales guy pointing it out (guess he didn't get the push the sets we want memo from the store).
Was scared off by the clouding issues on the Sony. Saw it in store in a dark room and my neighbor has returned two. Sharp picture quality laughable compared to this. Samsung, bars and same Sony issues.
Then this TV. All of these large TV's have some type of issue but only ones found on this were minor. Mostly geek issues.
Compared with my neighbors XBR before he returned and when the settings are matched evenly this set is simply the same if not better IMHO. Sony looks great and eye popping at the store turned to it's brightest but on an even level it has a tough battle in every way, and loses in some battles, except for promotion.
The TV is fantastic. The colors incredible. I know Mitsubishi is known for it's very large high end stuff but they need to get the word out. They have a real winner here. Top of the class product which few even know about.
Give it a shot people if still looking. Gonna like what you see and wonder why you don't hear more and why you can't find something wrong with a TV this underpromoted.
CNET. Review and do your homework. Missing a real winner hands down.
