"Wow!..what a picture!"
Pros: The picture colors are clearly more vibrant than the Sony or Samsung similiar models
Cons: Direct TV codes dont allow Mit. remote to be programmed..I blame Direct TV!
Summary: I searched for over a year..like many others visiting Best Buy, Cir. City, and Frys..comparing pictures and reading online reviews. The Mit. LT-46231 size, and design was perfect for my place in California. The Sony seemed washed out and the grey color just didn't do it for me. The Samsung 4695D was outstanding but the shinny black molding was distracting and the black picture image showed no contrast compared to the Mitsubishi. The sound was decent but was set on purchasing the Bose Cinemate system and hooked to the sound output- absolutely crystal clear. Also, have a Panasonic upconverting $89.00 DVD player that looks 1080p on this set! No need for the High Def Toshiba at $499.00 so dont waste your money. Price at Fry's (store..not online price) was $2499 for the tv..3 year extended (in home)warranty (just in case) was $199. Highly recommend this unit.

I called Fry's, but they sell the LT46131 for 2499, LT46231 costs 2799. Did you get it in a deal?
