"Excellent for $599"
Pros: Price, picture quality, setup, how it looks
Cons: Menu, remote
Summary: I did a lot of reading of reviews and looking around and decided on the Olevia 232 because of the 720P resolution, 1600:1 contrast ratio and the price at Sams Club which was a couple hundred bucks less than at the next lowest priced retailer... oh yea and the other 32" LCD's were about double the price!!
The menu is a little tricky to get used to but it's easy to learn, I had mine set up with all channels programed in from my cable box within 10 minutes.
After tinkering with the settings, finally got what works best in my house and the picture quality is great, the color and tones are accurate slightly better than a Philips I looked at that was a few hundred more. I found through research that Syntax-Brillian, the maker of the Olevia sets, use LCD panels from LG in this model. So, expect performance similar to the LG sets that you see in the stores.
I've got it wall mounted and it is a sweet looking TV, all in all, price, quality and visual presence of the TV itself this is well worth the money.
