"This TV is bad"
Pros: Inexpensive HD TV
Cons: Low contrast, Unreliable, Remote is the same as other low end outsourced TV remotes
Summary: This TV is a typical low end tv. It does not give a spectacular picture like people have been saying. When compared to others in its class it does not compare to several of them. Obviously Sony and Samsung destroy this tv but even the Polaroid counterpart puts this TV to shame. If you ever watch anything with dark scenes do not expect much detail on those scenes because the contrast detail is aweful. For those who want to get good picture quality and dont want to spend money to get it, stay away from this TV and explore Polaroid or even Panasonic.

I'm going to wholeheartedly agree with the other reply to this post. I've had my olevia 232v for about a year and half now, and I too thought it had superior picture quality. When I bought it the display model was sitting between an LG and a Samsung (both 32's), and there is no question in most peoples minds that LG and Samsung make a quality product. The olevia beat both the LG and the Samsung hands down, so I bought it and haven't looked back.

You must be doing something wrong. We took home 2 other 32" TVs for trial, including the Polaroid and a Phillips, and there's no comparison: The Olevia puts the others to shame, especially in the black & dark ranges. You must've set yours up wrong.
