"HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!!!"
Pros: Nice entry level price and OK picture quality.
Cons: Sound isn't the greatest. My screen failed over 2 months ago and I'm still waiting for a replacement.
Summary: Ive been working for over 2 months to get my Olevia replaced because the screen went bad. I am now in process of resolving through the BBB for lack or action on the warranty and going against the terms of the warranty. At this point, I cant even quantify how much time I have put in to this. I recommend spending the extra couple of dollars to get a Toshiba, Sony or Samsung. The saved headache alone will be worth it, but they also have superior picture quality.

I've had the 242T since mid-September, and I've had only 2 problems (one may be due to the TV). The codes cannot be found to work with the cable company's remote. A "tech" came by to set up my service and brought 2 HD/DVR boxes, and after hooking both up, there was no color on the TV. He walked away saying it was the TV! I called the manufacturer's customer service and we found the HD/DVR boxes to be the problem. After another visit from the cable company with a new box, I've had NO problems. Excellent sound and picture are produced consistently through the TV. And I received great customer service from Syntax-Brillian! I'm glad I bought this TV!
