"Absolutely Amazing!!"5.0 starson by mwrocca
Pros: Black Levels, thin bezel, plenty of HDMI/AUX ports
Cons: Haven't encountered any yet.
Summary: I've owned this TV for about a month--shockingly, Best Buy actually had the 55" model on sale for $1999, I opted for that rather than the 65."
SO far, the TV has been absolutely worth very penny! I finally got it calibrated (I used the settings posted in the CNET review as my "starting point" and tweaked from there--it worked well.) and it has made a BIG difference. The out of box THX Cinema setting will honestly be fine for the folks that just want to plug n' play, but its worth taking the time to calibrate.
All in all, the black levels are deep, the color quality is outstanding, and the on board speakers will do an adequate job if you don't want to splurge on a sound system. As I said in one of my comments, I picked up the Sony HT-CT150 Sound bar, just to add a bit more "oomph" until I find an audio set up that will work for me, long term.
If you're thinking about buying a large screen TV, this would be the one!
