"New model number is TH-103PF10UK (10 Series) - GREAT!"
Pros: Life size picture. Fast image processing. Wide variety of input cards including wireless receivers for laptops and also a 40 GB computer on a card. Plasma image looks so good you feel like you're at the game! Quiet operation
Cons: Heavy - 468 lbs. Expensive ($70,000 MSRP) but what ultra-large plasma isn't? Needs 220 V input power.
Summary: The 9UK is still current, but the 10UK (10 Series) is the only 103" model shipping from Panasonic. Display comes standard with 2 HDMI and 1 Component input cards. I slot is free. Cards are relatively inexpensive. A variety of mounting options are available from Panasonic and other 3rd party companies. I especially like the Screen Lifter product which makes short work of moving the 103 around (like in a conference center) yet electrically elevates the display to over twice its height. I just ordered this display to use in our family room as an "information wall". Using a Crestron DVPHD 8-window hi-def processor I can simultaneously put multiple windows on the display (VGA, DVI, Component, etc.). Just think - with a touch of a button I can watch four 50" displays on game day!! Or, watch a 70" main window and have several smaller windows showing hurricane weather, the stock market data, or cameras keeping an eye on the kids!
