"Not a user but I need guidance about integrating this plasma tv with my Media Center PC"
Pros: plain looking but i happen to like it like that.
Cons: connectivity, no rotating and tilting stand, aesthetically it may look too plain to some people
Summary: Ever since my brother bought a plasam tv and saw how beautiful the HD images were on the screen, I had fallen deep in love with it. I am no expert at all with HDTV and I hope somebody here can give me some feedback. From what I have read, essentials for HD images are just an HDTV and a tuner (what I know as a set-top box for sattelite???)and digital cables (hdmi and eeep?)let me know if I'm missing anything else. Now, I would like to integrate this tv to my media center pc. I was told by a best buy rep that mc cannot produce HD images. I would have to buy a video card in order to do this. Is this true?

OK for PC to tv, the TV Must have a PC input firewire IEEE to use it as a PC monitor. The better video card the better the HD will look. + the v-card will have to beable to handle 2 monitors, 1 primay & 2ndary, say, so you can switch from a laptops' screen to a 'large' tv. a good 256mg v-card should handle this.
Goto you 'display properties' in the 'control panel', click on 'settings'. If it shows 1 monitor then next to it is a grayed out 2 monitor (smaller), your computer will hook up vea IEEE to a 2nd screen/tv, but your screen resolution (V-card) Must be = or greater then the tv you are getting to look the best & don't forget to set the color @ the highest (32bit+)
