"The BEST Small Monitor...Period"
Pros: Fantastic display of standard-def (480P)programming, DVD's look incredible, awesome black level detail, accurate color didplay & a small footprint
Cons: No stand, speakers or tuner but if you've got a wall mount, surround sound system & cable/SAT box who needs em'?
Summary: We bought this primarily as a bedroom display & after six months of watching nothing but early morning & late night TV had to put it into main living room duty when our Hitachi 42HDT69 went "kaput" Granted it's a smaller display than the 42 but the image detail on every standard-def channel was noticeably better & except for the true, shot in 1080i HD stuff from HD Net, Nat Geo, etc. it was 98% as good. Even the network HD broadcasts & sports in particular were clear, flicker & jitter free & had what I can only describe as a more "realistic" color representation. On our DVD's (Sherwood Newcastle SD-871 that does up-convert its output via HDMI to 720P) we were never disappointed with even our oldest DVD's. For the money we saved vs. a "true 72OP display there was no buyers remorse whatsoever.
