The Bottom Line With excellent picture quality marred by only a couple of flaws, the Panasonic TC-PG10 series sits near the head of the class of 2009. The high-end Panasonic TC-PV10 series of plasmas delivers the overall best picture quality of any flat-panel HDTV we've tested so far this year. Panasonic's TH-42PX80U 42-inch plasma sets the picture quality-to-value standard for entry-level plasma TVs. The 42-inch Panasonic TH-42PHD8UK is a great deal for the money, but only if you're comfortable adding inputs, you don't need a tuner, and you remember to buy a stand.
