"One of the better performing plasmas available" on
Pros: I purchased the 37” unit. Great High Def picture from DVD or HD television and displays a solid (above average) SDTV picture compared against peers. Connections galore with 3 video inputs, HDMI, 2 component inputs, PC, etc. Black level and color saturat
Cons: The only flaw for this series of Panasonic sets is a lack of 2:3 pulldown. This stretches a traditional 4:3 picture to a widescreen format (16:9). Aside from that this is an easy somewhat affordable (I paid $3500 for the 37” PX series plasma.) plasma th

"Panasonic Customer Service Stinks" on by TomFA
Pros: Options, Picture are great
Cons: Sound is not the best, CableCard does not work with Comcast service to get the TV Guide and On-Demand
Summary: After 9 months of working great, all of a sudden I can no longer get analog channels (just HiDef). I thought it was a Comcast problem and blamed them. They came out, hooked up a test set and there were no cable problems. He suspected it was something in the TV.
The set was still under warranty. So, called the Customer Service number and after waiting over 15 minutes to talk to someone. They had me do diagnostics, then transferred me to their 2nd level, more waiting and diagnostics. They then referred the case to a local company to fix (Professional Video Engineers, Concord CA). This company is a loser. Once they get the case, it takes them 24-48 hours to analyze it (of course, all without talking to the customer to get details). Then they finally setup an appt. The person comes on site, does all the same diagnostics Panasonic had me do, said that they needed to order a part. This would take 5-10 business days. The part finally comes in, they schedule an appointment that is two weeks out. They are totally booked, cannot squeeze me in and "oh by the way" we will be taking off an entire week.
First call to Panasonic 8/2, ETA to maybe, hopefully have my set fixed 8/29. 5WEEKS!!! I would give a higher rating but with customer service being so poor....
You can bet a letter is going to the President of Matsushita, copying the VP of Panasonic, N.A and the owner of the local servicer. -
"Great HD Plasma Cant Beat The Price" on
Pros: This TV has one of the best pictures I have seen on any pdp. I purchased it a couple weeks ago and have only been able to watch dvd's since my satellite hasn't come to my new house yet. DVD's look amazing with component's, cant wait for HDMI dvd players
Cons: Speakers are lacking but are on most pdp's.

"Great TV Best One I have seen" on
Pros: I have had this for about a month and it has a great picture. If not the best, certainly one of the best plasmas I have seen. Contrast and Black levels are very good. For a TV the audio is outstanding.
Cons: I haven't found one yet
