"Fantastic Plasma Set at a Stellar Price"
Pros: Great contrast, easy menu, uber low price
Cons: Image shadows on some pictures...
Summary: This Panasonic plasma has been the first of this years much anticipated plasma line to hit the sales floor and I have to say Im very impressed. This plasma has a lot of great features, including the best black level Ive seen yet in an HDTV. It FAR surpasses last years 60 and 600 series plasmas in contrast performance. Even the refresh rate is twice as fast as before at 120hz. Panasonic is showing great diversity in their plasma lines this year, however none is without the coveted QAM tuner for receiving digital local channels through your existing cable system. Two (2) HDMI inputs crown this particular plasma set with the ability to process a 1080P signal. Pioneer claimed that last year but failed. On some video feeds (most of which you'll notice in text like credits) sitting off to the side you can look at the picture and still see shadowed images of whats hitting the main piece of glass. Unfortunate that they couldnt cut the glass down to two layers. Bottom line: Fantastic plasma, great price and great features. If you pass over this one for like a Vizio or something like that, you need to rethink some of your decision making abilities.

1) A 1024 X 768 panel can NOT produce a 1080P or 1080i picture. The native resolution is 720P. The 1080P or i signal is down converted to the 720P resolution.
2) The refresh rate is 60Hz NOT 120Hz.
