Pros: really quick, i'd like to point out that the 1 negative review at the time is someone complaining that if it breaks sony (sony?) dosn't have replacement parts. lol. Its true if it breaks you have to take it to an authorized dealer. Got mine on june 9th 2
Cons: Dosn't have direct input selection on remote control (well it does for 1 input, the "PC" input which can be used as componet as well).

"Had mine for 9 months - its GREAT!"
Pros: Picture has excellent blacks and very bright colors. HD from DirectTV is fantastic and I recorded the Olympics in HDTivo and it is great also. Highly reocmmend.
Cons: This is a picture only (you supply speakers and tuner). It is light weight enough that I have it on a swivel mount whch folds into the wall (an advantage over units with tuners and speakers).

"Great product bought mine in April and it is awesome!"
Pros: Nice handles to help get it on the wall mount. Picture sharp enough to cut ya. Have had 0 problems with this unit.
Cons: It is a no frills unit. No tuner provided but works great right out of the box with digital cable.

Cons: The next generation, which is TH-50PHD7UY, is out for the same price!

"for the money, there is no other choice"
Pros: excellent picture, at least as good as 50 inch models from pioneer and fujitsu, but at 60% of the price. other "low" price 50 inch plasmas (LG, Samsung) have much worse picture quality.
Cons: none that i can see. you'll need 3 bnc adapters to connect a component video cable.
