"Amazing!!!"
on by utobiausPros The colors are absolutely amazing. The resolution is spectacular. The menu options are easy to use and you can find a setting that you want easily.
Cons The manual is slightly ridiculous. How many languages do you really need to read? And not all that helpful. Use trial and error for most of it.
Summary Best tv I could have wanted. Watched a Harry Potter movie and was blown away by how much detail I could see. If you haven't seen a movie on this tv you don't know what you are missing. There are no negatives to this tv.

"Outstanding! Best value."
on by dez312000Pros Nicely designed. Excellent picture quality.
Cons The base does not swivel!
Summary Bought from Buydig at an excellent price (included free shipping and cables). Screen is really sharp, clear, crisp, and just the right size. Picture is excellent and you don't see any shadows or ghosts. Even the non HD channels look really good. Audio is very good on its own. Tried THX and it's OK- have to check it with a Blue Ray DVD to see what it looks like.
I was concerned about heat from the screen and in the back but this unit stays cool. 3 HDMIs are great. The info button shows signal type on the screen. I have Comcast Cable and supposedly they broadcast in 1080i (took them about 20 minutes to confirm it for me) so I am looking into FiOS to see what they have. Overall, this is a great unit and this was a great buy!
I spent the last 4 months searching and researching (online stores, BestBuy, CircuitCity, ...). Checked other Plasma and LCD TVs. This is the right one! -
"Outstanding picture"
on by Likeke9Pros I like the internet connectivity. With Vieracast I can watch Youtube vids.
Cons Amazon video on demand was one of the selling points. Unfortunately, its no available right now, but according to Panasonic it will be with a future (before April 30, 2009) firmware update.
Summary I was concerned that non HD programs would not look good. They do in fact look just fine. I particularly like the picture for sports - now I watch more baseball and can't wait to see what tennis looks like. I believe Panasonic has plans to provide a lot more content through the internet. There are placeholders on the Vieracast screen which promises more good things to come.

"Exceptional picture quality"
on by mehdino1Pros deep black level, accurate color in THX mode , Excellent greyscale accuracy , fast response for gaming.
Cons accurate color only on THX mode , No Colour Management System , THX mode looks Dim and there is`nt any light contorol
Summary i think 42pg10 is one of the best performing HDTVs on the market specialy at this size and a panel with this contrast performance previously reserved only for the high end plasma panels.yes this is not perfect and THX mode looks dim but you can calibrate this with setting of the Brightness, Contrast, Colour and Sharpness and getting a good result.

"Simply the best high-end HDTV for the middle class"
on by ramsappPros Picture quality is the best in this price range. All the needed hook-ups are there.
Lower power consumption than most plasma TV's. Good viewing from any angle.Cons Unit is heavy at around 90 lbs.
When connecting an off air antenna you have to change from cable mode to antenna. A TV this advance should be able to change on it's own when programing channels. Wasted 2 hours looking for a short.Summary I looked at well over 100 TV's and this was an easy choice.
If sound is a issue get a good sound system.
The custom settings from CNET were right on.
Panasonice needs to come up with a wireless keyboard and expand the Viera Cast.
