Pros: The picture is really good. The HD looks fantastic. Sleek clean look. 3 HDMI inputs. Motion, especially fast moving sports are smooth and not jumpy.
Cons: The Viera link thing is useless unless you already own or are planning to buy compatible Panasonic equipment to use with it. I was annoyed to discover no RCA audio outputs and even more annoyed that the TV audio does not come out the optical dig out!
Summary: The audio is a big deal to me and I made the mistake of assuming this unit had a simple RCA audio output to hook up to my home theatre surround sound amp...but no. The ONLY audio output is a digital optical out. So I buy a converter box ($75) to convert the signal from digital to analog. I have a DVD player, VCR & a satillite dish hooked up to the TV. I can now hear all the audio thru my home theatre EXCEPT the TV output! So if I tune into the free TV signal with my rabbit ears, the TV audio does not come thru the digital output! Unreal. Here I thought modern technology was wonderful. Besides this little pet peave of mine along with the useless Viera feature, I love it! The picture is really good.

Pros: Great picture, easy set up. Good styling. Looks great in a bright room. Great price.
Cons: Could have audio out rca jacks.
Summary: This is my second 42" plasma. Other is a Samsung. Panasonic was put in a living room with alot of light. Looks great in bright or dark. I was about to get it at BBuy for 679 but found it at $529 and free shipping, and I couldnt pass it up. Fantastic value. TV speakers are adequate but I have it hooked up to a surround system. Have had it for a couple weeks with no complaints. My 3 year old Samsung 42" plasma has a brighter picture, but the Pany looks great. Just different. Pany handles the fast movement of sports a tad better. Thought about a 1080p but just couldnt see enough difference for the extra bucks. It also blows away our 32" samsung lcd as far as depth of colors. Get very true blacks with plasma. Can't go wrong with this plasma.

Summary: This is a great TV for a great price. I have owned the TV for a little over 1yr and half. I have already had to replace the motherboard. But i had a warrenty on the TV so cost me nothing, thank you Geek Squad !!! I was upset when this happened, but really what can you do, the part would have cost more than what I paid for the TV, the tech said around 2K , ( i didn't buy that statement) But at any rate i am extremly happy with panasonic and this TV.
