"Outstanding HDTV performer with equal audio; loaded with features."
Pros: Video, great contrast, true color; great self-contained audio;good conversion from std. video format; attractive
Cons: Multiple remotes for cable-box which defeats PIP,
Summary: In showroom, it appeared superior to the 60 model. At home, the 600 is beautiful - in appearance, in video and audio performance. Using on-line video set-up parameters(plasmatvbuyers), the out-of-the box setup was changed to reality. Symphony and baseball are great experiences - no blur, accurate shades and colors, best self-contained TV audio ever, even without component system. Using HDMI video in direct from cable...defeats internal program guide and PIP but it is pristine. Instructions refer to cable company to maximize feature set...not very promising. Two HDMIs,one optical audio out, SC card slot for photos, PC in, as well as multiple component inputs.Source of sound is impossible to detect. If this is the ninth-generation for Panasonic, it was worth the wait. Weight is reasonable as well..97 pounds with the base for the 42".
