"Unbelievable" on by DAne7729
Pros: Amazing picture clarity.
Ease of use nd set-up.
Love the SD slot!Cons: Haven't found any yet, other than everything should be in HD!!!!!
Summary: I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a 1080p machine and hoping to stay under $1000.00. I picked this up 4 days ago at Nebraska Furniture Mart for $969.99. Granted i am going from a 27" tube to this in our upstaris living room but what a TV. I am overly impressed with the clarity (and we are only running at 50% contrast for our first 200 hours as recommended) and refresh of this TV, i researched these things for 4 months before buying. I couldn't be happier!

"Great TV for the price" on by smokin_Z28
Pros: Awesome picture, 4 HDMI ports, lots of customization, watching Planet Earth on Blu Ray never looked so amazing
Cons: burn in.... not bad at all with this set, but i notice little things like that and every other plasma i have seen gets burn in regardless of what CNET or others say
Summary: I have the Panasonic TH-PZ80U series, which is a 42" 1080p Plasma and it looks absolutely amazing! With a PS3 connected to it via HDMI, this tv has much more vivid color than my other Samsung 56" 1080p DLP tv. My only real gripe with it is screen burn in. It doesnt stand out a lot, but i'm one to notice little things like that(call it OCD), and up close you can see the burn in of my PS3 main menu. It is only noticeable when the screen is pitch black, and let me say it is BARELY noticeable, but its still there. Otherwise, this is a GREAT TV!

"Awesome!!!" on by swisspiss666
Pros: Looks amazing
Cons: none that I know of
Summary: This is the first plasma/HDTV that I've ever bought. I paid $1299.00 at Best Buy and it is F***ing Awesome. The speakers don't get too awful loud but I have a home theater system so I don't even use them. The picture is great, HD cable looks fantastic and my upconvet HD DVD player looks even better. Tons of inputs, 3 HDMI 2 componet, 2 coax cable, 2 composite and I can't remember if there is more. This TV is WELL worth the money!

"I am not very happy with my TV at all..." on by bradc611
Pros: When this TV worked, it had an excellent picture. The price was middle of the road and seemed like a great value for a "reputable" product.
Cons: I have had my TV for about two years and I am extremely unhappy with Panasonic's lack of ownership on a VERY common fault with these models. After about one year (right after warranty! hmmmm...), it would not turn on right away. The red power light would
Summary: I am going to try to get this resolved through Panasonic Customer Care and hope that they do not give me a hard time. I have found through my research that it is always the same parts that go. The P board, The A board, and some other parts related to those. TV repair shops are telling me that this could cost up to $700 or so, if it is the usual problem that these TVs have. I have a wife, four children, and not a lot of money. I can't buy another TV like this after two years and also do not have anywhere near $700 extra cash to get it fixed. This TV was a huge source of happiness previously in my life. Now it is the biggest disappointment. I will let you know if Panasonic helps me with this.

"stopped working after 16 months" on by jnettles5
Pros: was a great picture, then one day aout of the blue it would not turn back on
Cons: this tv has a manufacture date of dec 2008 and we purchased it not even 16 months ago and it already stopped working, it is not that the picture became bad, it is that it just won't power on at all and there was no warning. and panasonic doesnt care
Summary: when the power would not turn on to the tv we called panasonic and they are very well aware of the problem. what panasonic told us was there is a problem with the power supply inside the tv oh and guess what, they are unwilling to do anything about it. do not buy this tv. yes it had a great picture but now there is nothing and no warning. this company does not stand by their products.
