"Phenomenal"
Pros: Depth of picture and shear size
Cons: Remote, no custom presets, third HDMI should be in the back
Summary: What you should know before buying.
Stand is not included and you must use the TY-ST65PV500 which is hard to find. From what I?ve read the holes on the 65? industrial stand do not line up with the holes on the Th65PX600. Be careful with wall mounts. There are very few wall mounts that hold a 65? 175 pound unit (without speakers). Some manufacturers say they make a wall mount but need special adaptors plates. You might want a wall mount that slightly articulates. All connections are on the back. The set is too heavy to remove from the wall to make connections.
Remote is not backlit. Remote has no codes for an AV receiver. Plan to buy a programmable remote but not all the codes are available. Example: HDMI input codes (HDMI 2 and HDMI 3) specifically are not known to Harmony remotes.
There are no options in the menu to store your own picture preferences.
Picture quality is outstanding. 1080P photo still camera images make you feel like you are standing where the camera shot the picture! Color accuracy is incredible.
If you have motion sickness, beware. The picture fidelity is that real.
This set will spoil you. I?m finding it hard to watch my smaller plasmas in other rooms.
I?m waiting to hear from Panasonic about one concern. There is a relay that clicks every now and then when the set is off. Sounds like the TV is either turning on or off. (I?m not using a Cable Card which could have explained a cooling fan clicking on and off).
The unit is being replaced because of one red glowing pixel located several inches off center. No replacement available thru the dealer until late December. Will update by comments early January when I get the replacement. The bad pixel is most noticeable on 1080P source material. At this price and this picture quality a bad or stuck pixel is not acceptable.Updated
Panasonic says the relay noise is the TV guide updating.Updated
Received the Replacement from Best Buy today after waiting 2 months for a replacement. (No sets to be had)
Pixel perfect but came with a defective fan that clangs.
BestBuy has sceduled a new delivery on January 29th the earliest they can get a replacement from Panasonic.
Very pleased with BestBuy or should I say Magnolia Home Theater.
Not pleased with Panasonic. This is not my first flat panel tv. I own a Pioneer 50" which the Panasonic 65" replaces. I also own two sony lcd screens and a Hitachi 42" plasma. No problems with any of them.

Great picture, etc., but for that large of an investment, considering the problems you've had already, it doesn't sound like you would recommend it to friend.

Your comments are intelligent, highly helpful, and greatly GREATLY appreciated. Thanks to you, I have purchased this set, but have purchased it wisely. I look forward to any future comments you have about anything because you really know how to communicate, and, frankly, you know your stuff!
