  • "Great Picture, but had to replace after 18 months."

Pros: Picture quality is superb in my opinion. Didn't need much calibration. Sound is also very good with just the two speakers in the front.

Cons: Started having issues with this Plasma about 6 months after purchasing. First sound would just stop working, now the TV won't turn on at all. Found out Philips installs very cheap components on the main board which go bad over time.

Summary: It's a shame that this TV broke so soon after I purchased it. The picture quality is way better than the Panasonic I just bought. I researched online and found out that Philips LCD and Plasmas have a history of the capacitors going bad on the main power supply board. Apparantly Philips knows of this problem, but refuses to do anything about it. Now I will have to junk this TV. If you do decide to buy this plasma, make sure you purchase the extended warranty.
