"Buyer Beware"
Pros: Ambient lighting
Cons: Customer service
Summary: I have owned two other Philips flat screens in the past and really wanted the ambient lighting feature for a large bare master bedroom wall. It is a great feature for watching sports or anything for that matter if you have the room. After less than 6 months the TV died and had to be taken in under warranty repair. It has been in the shop for 2 months due to lack of parts availability. The repair shop informed me they had several in for the same repair all waiting on the same back ordered parts and all longer than mine. Philips policy states they will replace your TV if parts are not avialable after 20 days. After 2 months and repeated calls and hours on hold to Philips I finally received news they are replacing my TV. I was told it will be an addtional 2 to 3 weeks to ship the TV. Bottom line is the customer service was non-existant and every one I spoke to acted like I was their 100th complaint that day for the same problem. They all said someone would contact me in 2 to 3 days but no one ever did. I strongly sugest you read reviews like this and even contact a local TV repair shop first on recommendations of product reliabilty and support. I am very disappointed in my selection.
