"The pioneer 5010 will astound you with deep contrast, and vivid colors"
Pros: Just terrific 1080p picture, 1080i picture, 720p picture. Elegantly designed
Cons: Let's say price... But you get what you pay for.
Summary: I have to start with my buying experience. I bought from Satellite & Sound, a B&M in Arizona?with a warehouse in Newburgh, NY. The 5010 was expedited the same day, and I received the plasma 36 hours later. In New Jersey. 48 hours total. Fantastic. And the best price, from an authorized, Pioneer dealer of any I contacted. The Pio 5010 is just the best picture I have seen on a flat panel television, right out of the box. Sufficient menu controls to tweek color to your likes. Hum is-or can be an annoyance with plasma TVs-but not my pioneer. 4 HDMI inputs is more than enough for connections. And the pioneer plasmas all do 24fps, or 72hz for jutter-free content. And the truly inky blacks just make the color come alive. The current Pioneer Kuros (black in Japanese) are at the end of their life cycle (EOL) in April. With new models due June thru September. Prices could drop into the mid 2ks if there are any left. Other manufacturer haven't come close to what Pioneer has acheived in one year. Kudos to Pioneer and their Kuros plasma 5010.
