"Love IT, BUY IT"
onPros The picture quality is un-matched. I had a 46" sony projection, and let me say I did not miss it when I turned this baby on. I was scepticle until I turned it on. I did a lot of research and looked about numerous tv's and this was the mother of them al

"Seven years and going strong"
on by 1NorcalmanPros I bought this TV in late 2003 (for an outrageous price), but seven years later it still performs great. Colors are vibrant, images are still very sharp (especially on channels like Discovery HD), and blacks, though not great, are acceptable.
Cons SD programs don't look real good, but the HD picture remains outstanding.
Summary Our 43" Pioneer has been used extensively over the past seven years, probably on average 4 hours a day. It has been moved three times and no problem. We didn't really expect it to last as long as it has, but we're every bit as happy with it today as the day it was first set up (in fact, we're more happy now because there is so more more HD content). There are better TVs with better pictures now, but we're in no hurry to buy one as long as the Pioneer 4340 HD is still as good as it is.
