"Great Plasma Television"
Pros: Awesome Picture. Great Looking.
Cons: None At This Time
Summary: This was my first plasma so I was hesitant about dropping $5,000 on a T.V. Originally order the Dell Plasma but after reading the reviews about that T.V. on this site I called Dell and worked it out with them to return the set by refusing shipment. Now on to the Pioneer. The assembly instructions and T.V. setup looked very intimidating. It was very easy. Very little tweaking was needed to the set after setup even though this has one of the bigger remotes I've seen. The remote is very easy to use and all your adjustments are made through it. The C-Nets editors review on this set was a big help in making some adjustments for the T.V. I did alot of research on this set and the Panasonic 50" sets and the Pioneer just fit my needs. The media center that comes with this set has plenty of inputs including one for a Cable Card. This set looks great on or off. Ordering something this big online made me very nervous but the cheapest I could find this set in my area was $6,999. The set with shipping and a 3 year extended warrenty was only $5,375 online. If you do order this set online just make sure you check out how reputable the site is. You can save alot of money but you can also lose it. I saw this T.V. even cheaper than I bought it for but after researching their sites and reading reviews about them I steered clear. Sometimes cheap isn't always better. Any way if your looking for a great 50" plasma Pioneer is the one to get.
