"Poor view quality, unit failed after 13 months"
Pros: Easy installation. Lightweight. Plug ins well marked and easy to use
Cons: The viewing quality is poor except on Hi-Def program or DVD. The unit failed after 12.5 months, warranty is to 12 months only. No parts available from authorized repair center. Unit appears to need replaced. Manufacture does not stand behind product.
Summary: The product is light weight, easy to install and plug accessories into. The downside is that the only plug in access in the rear, difficult when wall mounted. The viewing definition was poor in anything but Hi-Def and DVDs. The true downside of this unit is that it failed after less than 13 months of use, it is only warranted to 12 months with no options. It is manufactured out of the country, very few parts are available. No major componant parts are availble by certified repair centers. RCA/Thompson does not appear to want to stand behind their product. It is much to expensive to buy and toss for a new one each year. Therefore I would highly recommend to not purchase this product or use this manufacture.
