"What about the warranty?"
Pros: I don't doubt the performance reviews
Cons: Manufacturer does not honor its warranty
Summary: I've reviewed a load of HD televisions.......and when they are working there is no doubt that these Samsungs perform beautifully. The problem is that despite carrying a warranty, the mirrors that control the on screen displays slip/fail and create shadows on the screen---which the manufacturer does not make good on. (Do a google search: shadow--Samsung--TV--warranty and see what I mean)
There are an awful lot of furious customers out there that paid thousands and got.........no warranty. And that is why my rating is:
ABYSMAL
The informed consumer must look elsewhere for a reputable manufacturer.

Just an FYI: if you purchase from a non-authorized dealer, Samsung & most any manufacturer will not honor the warranty

I wish they would remove this rating because it's obviously not referencing the correct set and is skewing the rating!

The shadow problem seems to be with their DLPs. Any known issues with their plasmas or LCDs?

Wouldn't want to deal with a known plasma/LCD problem considering their warranty issues.
I'm considering the FP-T5084 or the LN-T5265F.

Samsung FP-T5084:
