"Image retention is not a myth!"
Pros: Good picture, flexibility in adjustment, VGA input
Cons: image retention, good price
Summary: Seriously, I want Cnet to do a more thorough testing of plasmas. I dunno if it's just these samsung plasmas, but image retention comes in very quickly, within a couple minutes of use. Sometimes its not too noticeable because of all that's going on in the screen, but if you see an all white screen, it's obvious that it's there. It's happened when I was watching TV, playing games, or hooked up to my PC...so it's definitely the TV. Oh, and pixel shift function is pretty useless. Thank god most of the image retention goes away soon after. I still think it's above average because the picture is beautiful, and VGA connectivity on a plasma is always a godsend. If you know your sh*t, you'll be responsible and know what to do to avoid burn in, but it just sucks that there's that extra responsibility.
