"Great TV for our needs."
Pros: Great picture, even with analog cable.
Cons: Remote angle.
Summary: We got this to put in our family room until we finally scrape together money for a quality large (50"+) HDTV, then this will be moved into the master bedroom. I was a little worried it'd be too small for our medium-to-large family room, but it's just large enough to work (and it'll be great in the bedroom when the time comes). The picture is good even with our standard analog cable, which I was a little concerned about - I was worried we'd have to upgrade to digital because this set would make standard TV look bad. DVDs and video games look great on it, but I've yet to check out any HD programming on it (we're waiting to upgrade to HD once we have a large HDTV that justifies it).
The only downside we've noted is that the remote has a very limited angle that it works from. If you hold the remote more than 30 degrees from side to side or 20 degrees up and down from the direct center it won't work. I haven't tried a universal remote yet, so maybe that'll solve the problem, but I'm worried that if it's an issue with the IR receiver on the set itself then a universal remote won't help any. Other than that minor annoyance this TV has been great.
