"Feast your eyes and save your money."
Pros: Amazing Picture Quality; lots of features to customize; rich blacks; great use of energy saving backlight.
Cons: 1 component input; decent sound (perfect for a bedroom).
Summary: Lets get the ugly out of the way; it has only one component input so when you get it, get a splitter if you have other component products no compatible with HDMI. I opted for connecting my cable thru HDMI and could not believe the quality improvement. The sound is great if you have it in a medium to small room, after all is a 32" Set, a separate Surround System will come handy for people looking to get a cinematic experience. You can find a cheap-decent one (less than $100 for 300Watts), at Target or your favorite store. The remote control design is kind of odd-long but it works well.
Now the goodness; where should I start? I had the 23" Ln-r model in my room which I used mostly for gaming--excellent set as well; God knows, this time around, I did my homework around the net, forums and in-stores looking for the best looking set for my money. I wanted to upgrade to 32" in my room and was willing to buy a Sony if I had to or else, all depending in Picture Quality and overall features. This model, again, won my choice after seeing the amazing picture quality which honestly goes far from just being 4000:1; it has many customizable aspects--for the picky at heart--and a very simple pick and play way to use it. HD programming is fantastic but HD-DVD and Gaming at 720p is truly a feast to your eyes. The picture comes alive and vibrant, making the viewing experience what it was meant to be, pleasurable and relaxing. The black levels on this set are outstanding, especially when you set the back light to low, medium or high thru the energy saving mode at the touch of a button on your controller. And if not enough there are plenty of graphical equalizer features to suit your demands. The set has many input options not only on the back but on the side as well for camcorders, Digital cameras and even Ipods.
For Gamers: This is the set to own! The Xbox 360 never looked better. God am I happy to play my games here. Honeslty? It felt as if I'd opened my eyes for the first time to color. Sharp, vibrants, no ghosting or blurring effects... beautiful. **The gaming mode works well in some games but not all. It will be your judgment to tell when to have it "on" and when to turn it off.
Sorry for the lengthy explanations but hope it helps someone out there give this set a chance to impress them.
