"One terrific TV"
Pros: Picture quality, style, everything...even that bleeping noise when you turn the TV off is cool
Cons: Some pixlation (but no more than the best LCDs out there)
Summary: To start.....I was waiting patiently for the release of the sony XBR 2+3....two days before I made the purchase I was advised to take a look at the 4096D...some of the best advice I've had....for starters styling wise the 4096d just looks better (all those extra styling cues on the sony not only make it look bulky..but they also make it 20 pounds heavier than the samsung).....More importantly..the picture is simply unreal with a proper HD signal...the editors of CNET gave the sony a slightly higher rating and I'm really not sure why...whatever they said I can assure you, you will not notice a difference (and the samsung does not cost as much).. in my opinion, the samsung delivers an overall cleaner picture. As a final note...online purchase is a good idea...I bought the set 1 week after it was released. In stores it was selling @3300 ...I paid 2200...enough said.
