"Good small LCD TV"

2.5 stars  | on by les1119

Pros

Ease of use - menus, etc. Satisfactory sharp picture. Lacks contrast on dark scenes, but most small TVs do the same.

Cons

Very narrow field of view. Only one HDMI hookup, needs two minimum. Speakers sound tinny, but good volume in a small room.

Summary

Good small TV for hooking up watching news in the bedroom in the morning without taking up much space. My daughter likes hers with the WII hooked to it and a DVD player. Parental controls built in. It won't replace my large plasma or even a large LCD I ... Read full review

If you're in need of a television to receive over-the-air broadcast (as opposed to cable, or as a display device for a satellite receiver, video games, etc), I'd advise against this model. Unless you live in an area with such strong broadcast signals that you can receive all stations with a standard antenna in a single position, any time you move your antenna, you'll have to perform a full channel rescan (about half a minute). This makes changing channels extremely cumbersome.
