CNET did not review the Samsung LN40A630, but we did review a larger model in a different series with similar specs.
Although CNET did not review the 40-inch Samsung LN40A630 we did review the 52-inch Samsung LN52A650. Judging from their spec sheets the two Samsung flat-panel LCDs are basically identical but for the screen size, contrast ratio, screen coating and the exclusion of a fourth HDMI connection. The A650 has the company's "Ultra Clear Panel" screen coating, which we complained about in the review as being too reflective. The A630 has a more matte screen coating that doesn't reflect as much ambient light, and also causes the lower contrast ratio spec. Aside from these differences, we expect the review ...
