CNET Editors' Take

CNET did not review the Samsung LN46A850, but we did review a model in a different series with similar specs.

Review:

Although CNET did not review the 46-inch Samsung LN46A850, we did review the 46-inch Samsung LN46A750. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Samsung flat-panel LCDs are basically identical but for the fact that the A850 has a thinner panel (about 1.9 inches deep, versus 3.9 for the A750), so we expect the review of the 46-incher to give a good indication of how the LN46A850 will perform. For more information, refer to the full review of the Samsung LN46A750.

"Great picture quality if you don't mind a few things..." By fergville

RF interferance with some remotes
Samsung's firmware updates

Summary The picture on this thing really is quite spectacular as long as you can find a firmware update that suits you. The colors are great and the blacks are some of the best you can get in an LCD. I will say that as the firmware upgrades have progressed, the ... Expand full review
