Excellent connectivity at well placed locations.
Easy set-up menu.Cons: The shiney black border around the set just attracts fingerprints and doesn't add any value.

Cons: Image, intermittent IR interference w/SAT remote
Summary: Great looking packaging providing some pretty cool features. However, there are a couple of warts on this sexy LCD, which for a Samsung product, I find to be a bit surprising. Wart #1: lack of image uniformity is particularly noticeable in dark scenes. Wart #2: intermittent IR conflict w/satellite remote control device. Several phone calls to Samsung support & convos w/both Samsung & 3rd party techs inform me that the foregoing issues may be inverter board related. The only sources I've used to date with this LCD HDTV are SAT & DVD. The former using component cabling & the latter using HDMI cabling. The image issue arises with both sources. The IR interference issue only arises with the SAT receiver remote - but that's enough since changing channels or checking the SAT program guide using the receiver's onboard controls could hardly be termed convenient.
Other Samsung products I use - cell phone, external computer monitor, LCD SDTV. Including the LN46B550, I've now had quite a bit of experience w/4 of their devices. 3 of these have provided a very positive experience, unfortunately, the LN46B550 has not been one of those 3 experiences. -

Pros: TV has great picture qualiy and has 4 hdmi inputs.
Cons: Bad sound quality. Incompetent samsung service help.
Summary: I liked the picture quality. Its 70000:1 contrast ratio is awesome. I had the tv for like 5 months and one of the hdmi ports started going out. The sound would cut in and out. I called samsung help desk and they acted like they didnt know their heads from their butts. But i plugged it in a diffrent hdmi port and has been fine ever since. Sound altogether isnt very good. When i watch movies i have to turn the volume up to like 50 or 60. So with all that being said, picture quality is awesome but sound not so good. Even with the "tru-sourround" that it comes with. I think it sounds better off. Bottom-line:: great tv for picture quality, bad tv for sound.

Pros: Looks great, I love the shiny black border. Very good sound, even before we connected to the home theater it sounded good. Picture quality is fine.
Cons: I am having some trouble adjusting the color and sharpness to my liking. I just got this TV a few days ago and am still tweaking it so hopefully I'll get it right soon.
Summary: Bought TV at Best Buy, paid 969.99 on sale. It was in our price range and since I didn't really want a giant TV to fill my entire family room, the 46" size was just right. Sound quality is very good, once we hooked it up to the surround sound it was fabulous. I need to play around with the menu and get the color and sharpness to where I like it, haven't been able to get it perfect yet. Our room is very bright with alot of windows so we chose the LCD over and plasma screen. That was also a good choice for us. All in all we are satisfied with our new Samsung and would recommend this brand to others.
