"Very good TV for a Living room"
3.5 starson by jimmytootimesPros: Good price, good picture with lots of available picture tweaks, Good connectivity, astatically pleasing and well designed look..
Cons: A bit of flashlighting on bottom of the screen when screen is dark, Remote is very basic.
Summary: When my old Sony Rear Projector 720p 42' TV started to die I decided that instead of spending money on a bulb to fix a dead technology that Sony was not supporting any more I decided it was time to move up. Now I don't have a Den or family room and with 2 kids its hard for me to justify spending four to five hundred more dollars to get a hi end 2D or 3D TV so when I started shopping I was looking for something that had 1080p, a good amount of HDMI inputs and had a size that was not too big that it would overwhelm my living room and was under a grand. This TV fit all my criteria and more. Not only is the size perfect and still fit nicely on my old 42' TV Stand without looking too big in my small house (If you have the room get the 55" model). The picture is nice and there are plenty of menu options to play with to make it even better. All this said, if I had the budget and a finished basement I may have splurged and gotten something a little higher end but for what it is worth this TV is perfect for everything I need and since I don't have a darkened room this TV is very bright and looks good even with the sun streaming in the window due its matte finish to reduce sun glare. If you are looking for a big screen TV the wont break the bank but still give you the HD picture quality you want you can go wrong with this TV
