"Excellent Alternative To The Glossy 6/7/8 Series"
Pros: The LN52A630 has the sleek 750 style cabinet, not the cheesy 650 design with its giant red stripes. The semi-matte screen hugely reduces light reflections compared to the 650/750/850.
Cons: Total of only three HDMI inputs, reduced maximum contrast compared to the glossy versions.
Summary: I was originally planning to purchase the 52" 550 series, but I was worried that I would get stuck with a poor quality "A" or "C" panel. The 630 gives you the semi-matte finish of the 550 series, with the better quality 120hz panel from the higher end glossy models. If you watch everything in the dark get a 750, but if you have windows or lights on go with the 630.
I compared the 630 to the Sony XBR4 and XBR6, and the Samsung definitely looks better. It also doesn't suffer from the Sony's annoying black level flickering.

You mentioned the "A" and "C" panels on the 550 series. Does the 630 series have the same distinction? Should I be looking for a "B" panel? Thanks for the review, it was helpful
