CNET Editors' Take

CNET did not review the Samsung LN52A860, but we did review a smaller model in a different series with similar specs.

Review:

Although CNET did not review the 52-inch Samsung LN52A860, we did review the 46-inch Samsung LN46A750. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Samsung flat-panel LCDs are basically identical but for screen size, bezel color, a thinner panel (about 1.9 inches deep, versus 3.9 for the A750), and the addition of an extra USB port, so we expect the review of the LN46A750 to give a good indication of how the LN52A860 will perform. For more information, refer to the full review of the Samsung LN46A750.

Great price

Cons: samsung remote is less then perfect

Summary: I got this tv on sale from microcenter for 1200 bucks over a year ago. I love the size and playing Xbox360 on it or a move makes it feel like you are at the movies. The picture is not quite as good as the Sony, i have a 32in ... Expand full review

"5 Star TV in 2008" By ahsieh130

Pros: Best picture quality at the time.

Cons: A bit pricey.

Summary: It's been 1.5 years since I bought it in May 2009. At the time, the ultra thin panels were just coming out at almost twice the price I bought this TV for but I wasn't convinced that the new panels had a better picture. The new panels ... Expand full review
