Pros: - fantastic picture after adjustment
    - 120 Hz a gimmick, imho (I have an 850 series samsung)
    - no digital gimmicks ensures future compatibility
    - lots of jacks for a mid-price TV
    - very bright and excellent colors

Cons: - must crank the backlight for best picture (wastes power)
    - must crank the gamma for best picture (limits adjustability)
    - must crank up dynamic backlight for best picture (limits adjustability)

Summary: My first TV was an LN52A850. My second is an LN52B550, for a relative. I was extremely impressed with the picture, and feel that it has 90-95% of the picture for 50% of the price This is not the best TV on the planet but it's the best deal under $1500 in 2009 !!
