"GREAT plasma TV....."
Pros: ...picture definition and color are outstanding.
Cons: ...synthesized surround sound with built in amp & speakers is "acceptable".
Summary: Bought mine about 6 months ago. Was looking to replace a broke down 27" Sony Wega (don't get me started on Sony tv's) in the bedroom. Was at a local dealer looking at 32" - 37" lcd's for replacement. I was looking at $500 - 700 for a good name brand lcd, when the salesman showed me the Samsung - on sale for $865. I kept thinking that 42" was too big for the bedroom, but, a plasma at that price was just too good to pass up. Have a 46" Mitsubishi with a Denon 5 speaker surround system set up in the "entertainment" room, so the built-in sound on the Samsung can't compare, but it's good enough for the bedroom. Noticed that a few of the reviewers got it for less......bummer.....but I'm still happy, a great buy as far as I'm concerned.
