"Love. It. WOW."
5.0 starson by jsills63Pros: The picture quality is outstanding. (What else would you buy an HDTV for if not a great picture?)
Cons: Nothing yet. Some have complained about the glare... yes, it's there. But give some thought to where you're putting the TV before you buy it. My living room has fairly low-level lighting, so this glare is not a problem for me at all.
Summary: I literally spent hours comparing this TV to:
- Various LCDs
- Panasonic 42" 720p plasma
- Panasonic, Samsung, LG 1080p plasmas
Time and time again, I came back to this TV as the best choice. The price was unbeatable ($649 on sale at Sears). The difference in this TV and any of the 1080p's was not worth an extra $250+. And I didn't care for the LCD picture at all, unless you upgrade to both 1080p and at least 120hz... by that time, you're spending $1200 on up. Probably the best picture I saw of all of them was the new Samsung LED.... incredible picture, but a price tag of about $1600 for 40".
This TV is easy to hook up. Turn it on, and it looks awesome right out of the box without any tweaking necessary.
Bottom line: GREAT TV, GREAT PRICE. I couldn't be happier, and would probably be bummed had I spent the extra $250 just to get 1080p.
