"Absolutely Worth the Money!"
on by JamesMaddenPros + Picture quality is great, great color and even better Blacks
+ Sound is adequate
+ Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, Easy setup, Great boxingCons - Only 2 HDMI ports
- No internet capabilitiesSummary I've had this TV about 6 months, and I absolutely love it. It was bought to replace a HD tube TV, and I am glad I bought it vs. an LCD.
Picture quality is great. Plasma is better for movies and sports; due to its greater ability to produce deep blacks and blur free motion. Some LCDs and LEDs now have higher refresh rates, but if you've ever paid super-duper close attention, you'll notice they make things look a little surreal, almost dream-like. It's just not natural. If you love movies and sports, Plasma is the way to go. In regards to the 720 thing, most HD stations are 720p. About the only realy 1080p source you can get is Bluray.
In my home, you sit about 6 ft from the screen, and you can't tell. If you sit further away, you probably can, but like I said, it's perfect for our home. Also, next to my cousin's 40" LCD, the picture is just so much smoother.
The sound is adequate (it will never be great on such a thin bodied machine) and the menus are easy to use. I wish the digital tuner was a bit stronger, but whatever.
The two HDMI ports disappoints me. I wish it had just one more. To be honest, that's my only major complaint. I know I can get a better TV with a better picture, but then I'd be spending A LOT more than what I did on this one. And if you will buy this TV I suggest you have to compare prices before you decide at: Lowest-pricing.info/PN43D450
It's your choice. -
"Went to the store to buy one tv but then I found THIS."
on by eric825Pros It may say 720P but Easily Supports 1080p. Has Eco Sensor which is great, If you have the tv on and it's dark in the room and a light is turned on, The tv adjust automatically by brightening or darkening the screen. It's not the Plasma that your father h
Cons Some summaries from other people are upset because they wished it had more than 2 HDMI ports and I understand that and theirs a solution to this problem. I bought this tv when my 32" LCD TV video board burned out and it only had 2 hdmi ports. I fixed that
Summary New 2011 43" Samsung Plasma T.V. display is higher than 720p with a refresh rate of 600 Hz It's a must see to believe don't sell your self short or spend more than you have. I'm not a salesman but I know a deal when I find one. Five stars when I added the 3 hdmi cable..

"Mid-level Plasma with entry level price."
on by PoppypbrPros 1280X720 panel Very good black level Usable Home Settings out of the box Sound quality graphic EQ and Surround very good Picture Quality comparable to the Panasonic "S" series for just $500 Elegant with no reflections off panel. Fully Plug and Play.
Cons No one will believe that it cost under $500. Couple more inputs would be nice.
Summary This plasma panel gives Vizio XVT3SV and XVT4SV with locally dimming LEDs and Sony Bravia 3 panels real picture quality competition, besting their sound and then beats them up on price and value. Great television now accessible to families that could never had afforded it before. Samsung Home Run!

""I don't need no stinkin' 1080p""
on by BTDTAPros It's still "burning in" but is a great TV with excellent picture quality. It's also thin, light and plasma...what's not to like?
Cons None really...I use a receiver and don't need a bunch of HDMI ports on the TV too.
Summary Saw this over Christmas for $480, including all the taxes/fees here in Ontario.
For the cost of 1080p I saw diminishing returns really kicking in so bought this set.
For the money spent I'm very happy and really didn't see anything better close to the price. I saved enough to buy a matching wireless BluRay player to make up for the TV's lack of "Smart" features.
For $600 including the player, I'll be happy until TV is broadcast in 1080p! -
"Awesome buy"
on by Mark0 - TechnologistPros Its 43", Plasma and 3D for < $700. Whats not to like?
Cons Not "smart". Only 3 HDMI ports.
Summary Great picture quality and good set of useable features, this has to be the "best buy" in HDTV's for 2011. I can't believe how much better the picture is compared to the LCD TV it replaced.
The sales people say you need 1080P and a 10/100/1000 jack on the back. I say "hogwash"! This set works fine. There's over 12 channels of FREE OTA HDTV channels in my area that this set is able to get. Did you know that even "The Simpsons" is broadcast in 720P with 5.1DD for FREE OTA?
