"Loud Buzz / 9 TV's Now w. An 8.0 Rating ?!!!!"
Pros: Fairly Accurate Color / Above Average Standard Definition Quality For A Large HD -TV
Cons: Loud Buzzing Noise / Pink-ish Tone with White Scenes / Blacks Are Improved By Samsung's Standard - But Not As Good As Top Tier Plasmas .
Summary: It really might be worth waiting a year for a 2010 model.
Instead of 2 Standard Definition Composite Inputs,There Should Be 1 Yellow Composite Input & 1 S-Video Input ( In addition to Component & HDMI inputs . ) .

"And did anyone really want an S-Video input anyway?"
Not everyone wants the cheap Blue-ray player that the big box stores throw in with their HD-TVs. I would rather save up the money for a better quality player. That means using my old DVD player for a while, which produces its best picture via S-Video, so yes, I prefer to have at least one S-Video input on the set. My wife's laptop also has S-Video out. The connection is handy to use sometimes. -
I think the title was just misleading.. I still dont understand what you were trying to say. But yes I think that you have done your hw and have found some of the sets fautls. very valid. I still think the overall PQ for price is unrivaled though.
And did anyone really want an S-Video input anyway? :-D -
If you don't know what "loud buzz" means,it might be time to pick up a dictionary. "9 TV's Now w. An 8.0 Rating" means that this web-site,C Net.com,has given 9 TV's a rating of 8.0 . It seems questionable to me that there would be a 9 way tie for the 3rd best HD TV. Make sense???? By the way, thanks for telling me what I have used & what I haven't used but,you actually do not have this knowledge.

By the way, keep on reviewing things you have never used or owned it really builds your credibility

I said I don't understand your shorthand
what does this mean?
"Loud Buzz / 9 TV's Now w. An 8.0 Rating ?!!!!" -
Surely, you must be talking about C Net's review or another review. If you're calling my short review "unintelligible" , it's actually in plain english. I didn't feel the need to go into more detail because, the rest has been covered in C Net's review. Buy the Samsung if you want, but I will not consider them again for a large screen TV at least until improvements have been made with future models . 24 frames per second mode wiping out picture settings is a joke.

Do you think the cnet staff got a pink tv with a buzzing power supply to do their review? While you may bring up that some tv's have factory flaws, the simple solution is to send it back for one that isn't because it's well worth the wait. The facts may be true however, where this review fails for me is in its unintelligible shorthand that only the author could understand.

My review states facts. Some facts apply to all of the PN50B650's produced while others may or may not. Maybe the buzzing noise could be a hit or miss thing but,it has been widely reported by users on the AVS forums as well.
HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT FACTS ARE NOT HELPFUL ????? You can turn a blind-eye to the negatives of this TV but, there definitely are some.
