  • "Most attractive eye appealing picture in its price rang"
    on by LouMigs

Pros Very good Picture quality, vibrant color, inky blacks, eye pleasing picture compared with other TV's in this price range. Can fix the reddish skin tones in Dynamic mode by lowering sharpness to 35 and changing color and brightness to 50 each.

Cons No anti glare coating. Only 3 picture settings. Can only adjust advanced options in Movie setting mode. NO side inputs. Not Full HD 1080p. Factory setting Dynamic picture mode sometimes produces reddish skin tones, Depending on content.

Summary Screen too reflective if you are going to watch primarily in brightly lit room. This is my bedroom TV so it is not a big factor but when watching during the day you see reflections in the screen. Can be quite distracting but you have to spend alot more for a plasma with anti reflective coating. Or you can drop screen size and get a LCD with a Matte screen. I was considering exchanging for the Panasonic TC-P50U50 or LG50PA5500 or LG50PA6500 mainly b/c for an extra 100 dollars I can upgrade to Full 1080p but I am very happy with the set with the exception of the reflections during day time viewing. The other sets will have reflection issues as well. Not sure if they would be better or worse. Considering I am happy with the picture I am not sure if it is worth all the trouble to exchange. I did prefer the Samsung PN51E450 in the store hence why I bought it. I would get more settings with the other sets and full HD but I mainly watch with my cable box at night in the bedroom. I have been watching more daytime tv since buying it though. Other side note is that I own a Panasonic Plasma TC-P65VT30 which is their flagship TV for 2011. I find myself going back and forth between family room and bedroom to compare the picture on cable and I have to say the E450 is pretty close in pic quality with cable content. I even prefer the E450's picture with 480p content.IguesstheE450 720p TV handles the picture better I Dunno. I am very satisfied for $497 compared to $2750 for Panny TC-P65VT30

    Pros Sharp picture initially.

Cons Burned in images before 2 years.
Customer service does not attempt to offer anything for a defective product and has no retention department.
